Fascinating Ladies of Country
Young at Heart Theatre, a charity theatre organization now in its 21st year of operation, will be touring a brand-new show this spring to venues across PEI.
Fascinating Ladies of Country is a celebratory musical revue, featuring music from some of the most iconic and influential female country artists of the last century to present day.
The show also highlights the women’s liberation movement and the way these artists expressed themselves to help empower women around the world.
Some of the songs featured include 9 to 5, Delta Dawn, Fancy, D.I.V.O.R.C.E, Any Man of Mine and Miss Chatelaine.
Fascinating Ladies of Country is compiled and created by Brielle Ansems and Catherine O’Brien with musical direction and arrangements by Brielle Ansems, and direction by Catherine O’Brien. The cast features talented PEI artists Olivia Blacquiere, Stephanie Ross and Haley Zavo.
With support from Innovation PEI, the tour will run from April 1st to May 3rd and will be going to long-term care, community care and small halls across the island. For more information on show bookings email info@yahtheatre.com
